Marc Marquez has sent a strong warning to his rivals ahead of the 2025 MotoGP Argentina Grand Prix. The Ducati Lenovo rider, fresh off a dominant performance in Thailand, is eager to continue his momentum at Termas de Rio Hondo—a circuit where he has historically excelled.
The MotoGP 2025 season now heads to its second race weekend, set to take place in Argentina from March 14-17. Marquez, who has won three times at Termas de Rio Hondo, sees this track as one of his strongest venues. With confidence riding high, the eight-time world champion is determined to extend his success.
"I'm very happy to be back racing in Argentina, a track that I like and where I managed to be fast and competitive in the past," Marquez told Crash on March 13, 2025.
The Spanish rider holds the record as the most successful competitor at this circuit, with victories in 2014, 2016, and 2019. His ability to master Termas de Rio Hondo has earned him the title of king of MotoGP Argentina, making him a strong favorite for another win.
Riding high after Thailand GP success
Marquez enters the Argentina Grand Prix with incredible momentum. In the opening race of the season at MotoGP Thailand 2025, he dominated both the Sprint Race and the main event, securing a perfect weekend. This performance catapulted him to the top of the championship standings with 37 points.
Reflecting on his Thailand GP success, Marquez highlighted the effectiveness of his team’s strategy and preparation.
“We just had an almost perfect weekend in Thailand, we managed to maximize what we did in testing and be sharp in the race,” Marquez said.
The strong start to the season has only strengthened his belief that he can continue performing at the highest level. Supported by Ducati Lenovo, Marquez is optimistic about his chances of securing another podium finish in Argentina.
“This really gives me extra motivation and I can't wait to get back on track,” he added.
Fierce competition expected in Argentina
While Marquez remains a top contender, the MotoGP Argentina 2025 race is expected to be highly competitive. His Ducati Lenovo teammate Francesco Bagnaia, along with Jorge Martin and Fabio Quartararo, are determined to challenge for the podium.
Bagnaia, the defending world champion, will be looking to bounce back after finishing third in Thailand, while Martin is eager to prove himself as a title contender. Quartararo, who struggled in the opening round, is aiming to regain form and fight at the front.
Despite the stiff competition, Marquez’s past success at Termas de Rio Hondo makes him one of the favorites. If he can replicate his dominant performance from Thailand, he will strengthen his lead in the standings and solidify his position as the rider to beat in MotoGP 2025.
Marquez eyes another statement victory
The 2025 MotoGP Argentina Grand Prix will serve as a crucial test for Marquez’s title ambitions. With experience, confidence, and momentum on his side, the Spaniard has a prime opportunity to showcase his dominance once again.
If he can secure another victory, it would not only reinforce his reputation as one of the best riders in modern MotoGP but also send a clear message to his competitors that he is back at his best.
