Aprilia Racing heads into the second round of the 2025 MotoGP season with high expectations for Marco Bezzecchi. As the Italian manufacturer’s lead rider, Bezzecchi carries the team’s hopes as he prepares for the Argentina GP at Termas de RÃo Hondo, a circuit where he has previously tasted success.
The 26-year-old is excited to return to Argentina, a track he enjoys, and is determined to build on his solid performance in the season opener in Thailand. Speaking ahead of the race weekend, Bezzecchi shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming challenge.
“I’m very happy to finally return to Argentina because I really like this track and I was very disappointed not to go last year. We did a good job in Thailand, and we have to keep improving together with the team. I can’t wait to be on the track!” he said.
Bezzecchi started his Aprilia Racing campaign with a competitive showing at the Thai GP, finishing sixth in the main race and 12th in the Sprint. While he did not fight for the podium, his performance indicated steady progress with the Aprilia RS-GP. The team is confident that Termas de RÃo Hondo will suit his riding style, given his previous results at the circuit.
In 2022, during his debut MotoGP season, Bezzecchi finished ninth in Argentina. The following year, he secured a dominant win in the main race and finished second in the Sprint, demonstrating his ability to perform well at the South American venue.
Savadori continues to replace MartÃn
Bezzecchi will once again be joined by Lorenzo Savadori, who continues to replace the injured Jorge MartÃn. Savadori, primarily a test rider for Aprilia, is stepping in for the second consecutive round as MartÃn recovers. While Savadori’s main role is to gather valuable data for the team, his presence also adds stability to the garage as Aprilia works on further developing the RS-GP.
Aprilia aims for a strong result in Argentina
With Bezzecchi’s strong history at Termas de RÃo Hondo and Aprilia Racing’s continuous improvements, the team is optimistic about securing a solid result. The Italian rider has already shown promising speed in 2025, and his familiarity with the track could play a crucial role in his performance.
As MotoGP returns to Argentina, all eyes will be on Bezzecchi to see if he can replicate his past success and establish himself as a top contender in the championship.
