Franco Morbidelli arrives in Argentina with high confidence following an impressive performance in the opening round of the MotoGP season. The Italian rider is determined to maintain his positive momentum at Termas de Río Hondo, a track he holds in high regard. After finishing fourth in Thailand, Morbidelli is eager to push even further and improve his position in the overall standings.

Carrying momentum from Thailand

Morbidelli’s season began on a strong note in Buriram, where he delivered one of his best performances in recent years. Reflecting on his start to the campaign, the Prima Pramac Racing rider expressed satisfaction with the progress made and his growing confidence in the bike.

“We arrive at this second GP of the year satisfied with the job done in Thailand. Personally, it was one of my best races in the last few years,” Morbidelli said, highlighting the work put in by both himself and the team.

A return to a track he loves

The upcoming round in Argentina presents a new challenge, but one that excites Morbidelli. Having missed the chance to race at Termas de Río Hondo in previous seasons, he is eager to return to the South American venue, which holds a special place in his career.

“The team and I are working really well together, and we need to keep that momentum going. South America is amazing, and Termas is a place that I love. I’m happy to be back after some years without having the possibility to race there,” he added.

The Italian rider’s enthusiasm for the circuit could play a crucial role in his performance, as he looks to translate his passion for the track into another competitive result.

Targeting a better starting position

While Morbidelli was satisfied with his Thai GP performance, he is well aware of the importance of improving his qualifying results. A strong starting position will be key to achieving an even better outcome in Argentina.

“We will try to do the best job we can, and one of the key points to improve the final result will be to start further ahead on the grid,” Morbidelli emphasized.

A better qualifying position would put him in contention for a podium finish, a goal that seems increasingly attainable given his recent form.

Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing’s ambitions for Argentina

For Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing, the Argentina GP represents an opportunity to continue their strong start to the season. With Morbidelli showing signs of resurgence and confidence in the bike growing, the team aims to deliver another competitive performance at Termas de Río Hondo.

As the MotoGP paddock shifts to South America, all eyes will be on Morbidelli to see if he can maintain his upward trajectory. With momentum on his side and a clear objective in mind, the Italian rider is set for another thrilling weekend as he looks to establish himself as a consistent frontrunner in the 2025 MotoGP season.
